Our trip home from Ocracoke on the Cedar Island Ferry held one more incredible view..the most peaceful pastel water and sky I had seen on Pamlico Sound. This dreamlike vision becomes my special place. The porpoise evaded the camera, but will be in the painting.

This is beautiful Mary Ellen!! It is indeed peaceful and dream-like. I love the variety in your work, from the whimsy and lightheartedness of the poppies, to the various landscapes, buildings and homes that you paint...each says exactly what it needs to. The piece "Autumn Glow" looks just like a tobacco barn we have! Heck, we love all you do!
